Pre-basic engineering support for the design of an upgraded gas cleaning system to accommodate future production capacity increases at Umicore�s non-ferrous smelter.
Key Objectives Included:
- Review of existing primary and secondary gas handling systems and process constraints
- Preliminary design concepts for improved particulate and SO2 capture efficiency
- Evaluation of integration options with existing plant equipment and layout
- Development of high-level process flow diagrams (PFDs) and major equipment lists
- CAPEX and OPEX order-of-magnitude estimates for selected configurations
